Sandcastle Wedding Cake

Some of the best days of our childhood were spent at a beach making sandcastles. We used different sized bucket to make the turrets and our parents helped us with the rest until we were old enough to work alone. We could spend hours working on our fantasy castle. Young girls fantasize about being the princess of the sandcastle. Many young girls also dream about being a princess on their wedding day. Whether the young lady is getting married on a beach or at a church, she can recapture her days as a child on the beach with a sandcastle wedding cake.

One of the most spectacular wedding cakes a bride can choose is the sandcastle wedding cake. The first step is to research the Internet for pictures of various sandcastle wedding cakes. There are many different styles of sandcastles on the Internet. The chosen picture doesn't even have to be a cake. The picture could be a real sandcastle crafted in the sand at a beach or the picture can be a creation by a renowned baker.

If the bride has pictures of sandcastles from her youth, she might want to use them for inspiration for her cake. Using her own sandcastle for inspiration is such a sweet idea. Everyone will be so touched. The bride might even include the picture on her cake table.

When the sandcastle wedding cake design is completed, the baker takes over. His drawing reflects the bride's vision and design ideas. Make sure that your baker uses some natural sugar which looks very much like sand on your cake. The natural sugar gives the sandcastle cake a very realistic look. Any bride who wants to be a princess on her day will be the princess she always wanted to be and even have her own castle.

If a sandcastle wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception, then the decorations need to be similar so that they complement the cake. Don't go overboard with the seashell theme or the reception might start to look a little tacky. Using earth tones is perfect for a sandcastle wedding cake. Maybe the addition of some blue can add a touch of color.

Using seashells on the cake table is a great idea to accent the cake table. Seashells that have been cleaned and polished will look great on the table. They can be keepsakes after the wedding. Seashells are so pretty and fairly inexpensive and are, therefore, a great choice for the bride on a budget.

If you really want a spectacular sandcastle wedding cake, shop on the Internet for a sandcastle wedding cake topper. For around fifty dollars, you can buy some truly stunning cake toppers fit for any princess. If you don't want to use a sandcastle wedding topper, you can use the traditional bride and groom. An even better idea is to use a princess and her knight on top of the cake.

A sandcastle wedding cake is such a fun idea. The wedding guests will be talking about the cake for years and the bride will have her dream princess day.
