Cupcake Tiered Wedding Cake

Many brides today have strayed away from the traditions that have been held dear for so many years. Brides want to do something different; they don't want to have a cookie cutter wedding. They want their big day to be remembered for its style and the great food. Therefore, some modern brides have decided to forego the tired old wedding cake that is such a pain to cut and opt for a cupcake wedding cake.

The cupcake tiered wedding cake is becoming more and more popular because they are beautiful and tasty. Most wedding cake bakers will be glad to help you with a cupcake wedding cake. Depending on the size of the cupcake wedding cake, you may even save some money. If you love to bake and really want to save money, you and your friends could easily bake the cupcakes yourself. If you plan to do the cake yourself, don't wait until the last minute. Cupcakes freeze very well. You should freeze the cakes without frosting because most frostings don't freeze well. If you choose a frosting that does freeze, do everything in plenty of time before the wedding.

When you are choosing the type of cupcakes you want for the cupcake tiered wedding cake, you might want to go to a bakery with your fiancé and decide what you like best. Then you are ready to either bake or place your order. If you decide that you want to bake the cupcakes, make sure that someone knows how to decorate the cupcakes. Each cupcake should have some type of decoration. You can use edible flowers, butter cream flowers, or the couple's initials. The sky is the limit. The decorations should be the same color as the choices for the wedding.

If you are planning a big wedding and doing the reception yourself, you will have to buy or rent the tiered wedding cake plate. These can be quite pricey so you will more than likely want to rent. If you are buying the cupcake wedding cake, the tiered cake plate is part of the cost.

One of the great things about the cupcake wedding cake is that no one is stuck with the job of cutting the cake. Cutting the cake is the worst job in the whole wedding process. Cake icing gets all over you and your clothes. Sometimes the cake will even fall over if you don't cut it correctly. If your dinner is catered, they caterer will charge a price for cutting and serving the cake. With a cupcake wedding cake, everyone can help himself to the cupcakes with no serving necessary.

Another great reason to serve a cupcake tiered wedding cake is you can offer your guests so many choices. No one can leave saying he didn't like the cake because you have provided as many choices and combinations as possible. Everyone will leave happy and probably carrying a few extra cupcakes for the road.

Cupcake tiered wedding cakes are gaining popularity. Many brides simply want to provide their guests with something lovely and different. Even if some traditionalists are appalled, it's the bride's day after all.
